Mercure Kyoto Station is the first Mercure brand hotel in the Kansai region.
Located in the ancient capital of Kyoto, the hotel was designed around the concept of pastimes of Heian nobility. Playful design elements can be found throughout the stylish interior.
The main lobby features an installation of an origami kemari (Heian era football) made from handmade Japanese paper and a colorful design wall composed of blown glass spheres that is sure to provide an elegant start to your trip. Each area of the hotel features an original design centered on a traditional Japanese theme: for the first floor bar area, it is kyokusui no en (winding stream party), for the guest lounge in the basement, it is gagaku (ancient court music), for the guest rooms on the Superior Floor, it is tosenkyo (a traditional game of throwing paper fans), and for the guest rooms on the Privilege Floor, it is traditional Japanese tops.
The hotel is easily accessible from Kyoto Station, making us the perfect place to stay for business or pleasure. We hope you have an enjoyable stay in Kyoto. Our courteous staff are happy to help you with anything you need.
